Novato Babe Ruth goals and approach to the 2012 season will be described, and Board members will be available for questions.
Tryouts Saturday March 10, Sinaloa Middle School . 9:30 -1:00
Tryouts are for all players who did not play in Novato Babe Ruth Spring 2011 Season. Returning players from Spring 2011 do not need to attend. Please plan on arriving by 9:30 to get signed in, and prepare for the tryout activities. In case of wet fields come prepared with tennis shoes as well as your cleats. If you can not make the tryouts, call 258-4814 for instructions. Managers and coaches should also arrive by 9:30 to receive tryout materials and updated information.
We provide an opportunity for teenagers to continue to play hardball following Little League age. For those interested in the highest level of play, we are a high school preparation league. We provide the environment for adjustment to regulation size fields, leading off base, and, we play with metal cleats. Many of our coaching volunteers have played baseball for many years. Each of our coaching volunteers has passed a coaching certification course for eligibility to coach in our league. Each summer our league participates in the national Babe Ruth World Series tournaments, and we also play in non-Babe Ruth travel tournaments. For the recreational player, we offer a local league where the game can be played until the age of 15.
